ok so the father in law is coming to get my car and haul it back with him and drop it off at his friends interior shop. so now i really torn i can go as all out as i want or very subtle in his words this has been arranged merry fuggin christmas
I don't think it's too bad right now, but you asked for ideas. 
I'm not a fan of the gage styles but I can appreciate their uniqueness. I personally wouldn't want metal surfaces anywhere my skin would be resting. Cover the panels with leather instead, it would be much more comfortable especially when it gets cold or hot outside. I don't know if you want to keep the red/black theme going or not, but you could always use these ideas along with different colors. Either way I would look for some stock color speaker grilles and ditch the red ones.
Recover your door panels to look something like this:
Red leather inserts on the seats to match it up:
Find a stock gage cluster and get some 6LE gage overlays. Here are some options:
You could also do a matching overlay like this; I couldn't find a red sample:
You could add some red LED lighting inside, like to the footwells and hatch, and replace bulbs in the doors, map lights, and dome. You could tape off the amp faces and paint all or some of the silver areas red or do the inverse. You could also make that subthump box's Firebird red to tie it all the way into the hatch.
