Default Anyone with17x11s PLEASE come in and help!

I am in the process of talking to a dealer about getting Torq Thrust IIs. I can get them for 1000 bucks. Which includes the correct offset and backspacing for the car. Also the fronts will be 17x9.5s , and the rear 17x11s. He told me about his problems with his 96 TA and how he cannot get the rear tires to not rub. He has an adjustable panhard rod and that hasn't done the trick either. Do you people out there with 17x11s have the same problem? I have an 02 ws6 TA. I'm not looking to be replacing tires left and right. IO will however be lowering the car with G2 springs most likely. How bad to you think this will affect this problem. 17 x 11s would be a lot nicer if I'm going to do this though. Thank you anybody that has an oppinion to throw in. Hurry! I need to know quick, he only has a few sets left and this is an awesome price, don't you guys agree?

I have TTII 17x11s and I dont rub at all.I also run Intrax springs and 315 Nitto Drags. Only time I come close to rubbing is when I put someone in the back seat, the tires will rub on the lip slightly. Just take a rubber hammer and tap in the inner fenders a bit. BTW, they look absolutely awesome. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I just put 17x11 ZR1 rims on my car with 315/35 GSC's. Next time I take the back wheels off, I'm gonna tap a few places on the inner fender where it rubs the side of the tire slightly on hard bump/turns. Other than that, I love them.
Of course no one else will have any problems, because every car I own has "unique" problems.

All right thanks guys, this guy suggested i just went with 17 x 9.5s because of it. I guess he has a 96 Trans Am? Myabe I already said that. Do you guys think I can do any better price wise. Most the prices Ive seen are about 50 dollars per rim more than what this guy wants.

I think the LT1 f-bods have smaller wheelwells than LS1 f-bods. My buddy has a '96, and he says his 275 wide tires rub, whereas my 315's do not. You should have no problems a little tapping of the wheelwell wouldn't fix.
