Removing trim?

Removing trim? Can anyone tell me the best (safest) way to remove my door trim from my T/A. I assume it is just some kind of dbl sided tape holding it on. Am I correct. I think no trim would look much cleaner! Thanks

Re: Removing trim? use a hair dryer to warm up the glue and gently pry it off... use dental floss or some strong string if you need help to get it started. just work slowly and holf the dryer on the part you're pulling off. Took me about 2 hours total. End result is well worth it.

Re: Removing trim? Wash one side of the car, start it with some string and remove. The tape gets wet and comes off easily.
I washed my whole car and then removed the trim. The side that was wet came up in 10 minutes with minimal clean up. The other side took about 1.5 hours.

Re: Removing trim? After all this talk of removing the molding, I just went out and removed the molding 23 min. and then removed the rest of the adhesive with a soaked spot of WD-40 on a rag--6 min.
Boy I cant believe how nice it looks without all the stupid-proof stuff gone! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
I park on end of aisles or far away from buildings anyway, so dont really need them <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
