Default Removing decals...?

I'm looking for some advice on how to remove the original decals from the center piece between the tail lights of my 99 TA. Does anyone have any experience doing this? What's the best and safest way to do it without damaging anything? I tried using a razor blade after wetting the area, but that seems like a lot of work and it was leaving some scratches.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Bob

that's not a decal between the taillights... it's paint. Unless someone put a decal over it to change the color??? If that's the case then heat it up with a hair dryer and pick at the edge with your finger nail.

I'd like to know also. I'm going to replace my stock z28 decals. I'm pretty sure a blow dryer and dental floss is the way to go. Hot water should loosen them up too.

I've never done this before, but there's no way in hell I'd come within ten feet of my paint with a razor blade.

As for the TA Firechicken on the tail panel, that takes much more work. You effectively need to wet sand and buff that sucker off.

You can go to the dealer and get one for either a 95' or 96' T/A and it bolts in where that one does, it's solid black, but the price is about $100. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />
