weight difference of hoods?(Ultra Z)
weight difference of hoods?(Ultra Z) anyplace i can go to to look up weights of hoods? i would like to know the difference between the stock Z hood and an SLP Ultra-Z hood. Anyone have one? How was fitment and finish?

Re: weight difference of hoods?(Ultra Z) be ready for a 10+ week back order on thsoe things. when i ordered itm tehy said 4-6 weeks. its the 6th week and they yold me i got another 5 so yippeeee!!!!!! 5 more weeks of haivng a crashed car!!!
Re: weight difference of hoods?(Ultra Z) The car was repainted cause we painted stripes at the same time...the paint matched, so you won't have to repaint everything, just the hood

Re: weight difference of hoods?(Ultra Z) I am not sure how much lighter the Ultra-Z hood is, but it is substantially lighter. I would suggest you purchase a set of suncoast creation's hood struts for fiberglass hoods. They have a lot less pressure, and do not "stress" the hood as much during closings. I had read the stock struts will cause "spiderwebbing" of the paint around the strut mounts over time. The suncoast creation struts have just the right amount of pressure to them.
