HID and HALO Question

HID and HALO Question I have a set of headlights that have HALO centers and HID outer lights. When I wire the HALO's directly up to 12v power the outer ring lights as its supposed to. When I then hook up the ballast to 12v power the HALO rings either turn of or are over powered by the HALO's (kinda hard to determine). Is there a write-up somewhere on how to keep the center HALO's ring illuminated while the HID's are on?

They are illuminated most likely. The issue is the halo ring is lit by an LED, the HIDs are 1000x brighter than the LED so it washes it out. Can't make the halo visible when the HIDs are on too easily.

So do most folks just run the HALO's along with their DRL's or is there another option that I'm not finding by searching the forums?
I too spliced the halo's into my front turn signal wiring. Eventually I want to get another switch and wire them up separately. But for now they are hooked up through the signals. So if I turn on the parking lights, my Halo's light up. I can cruise a parking lot at dusk with the headlights off (if I pop the parking brake up one notch) and just have the orange parking lights and my orange halo's. Looks nice & sinister. 
But yeah, once the HID's are on the Halo's totally get washed out.
