Default custom ws6 hood grilles

Ok so im makin some custom grilles for my ws6 hood out of 1/8 aluminum. got them cut out to size just need to decide on a design to cutout or a pattern of holes to drill to let air in. Anybody ever made their own grilles out of sheet aluminum before? any ideas or pictures would be great. Ill get some pics on here when i get done! thanks

well i just bought the car and the previous owner had made some grilles out of the same gutter type screen..but its just to ricey for me, thats y i am making them out of a solid 1/8 piece of sheet aluminum. Im going to cut a pattern or drill a bunch of holes in it, just havent decided on the design or pattern to cut/ drill out. I wanted to see if anybody has done this before or if anybody had any ideas for a cool pattern for it..

Default Custom WS6 Hood Grilles

Well i finally got some time to finish my custom hood grilles for my T/A. Sorry it took so long ive been busy! Well here they are. I cut them out of sheet 1/8'' aluminum, drilled the holes and polished them up. I plan on making some matching side fender grilles for the car and putting some black blackbird stripes on the hood. Im still on the debate to paint them black or leave them polished. I think the polished will look good with the blackbirds and black would look best with how the car is now. Let me know what you think!

Just rough cutting them out (the ones on the top of the picture are the ones the previous owner had made, plastic ricer screen with black mesh screen material beind it...all superglued together)

On the car and polished (still unsure if i like them or not.) Maybe paint them black? Or leave them alone and add blackbird stripes?

wow....very unique. I like them; it makes the car look like the terminator...., but they kind of take away the functionality of the ram air hood...you're restricting all the air that would potentially lower your engine's heat buildup and increase cold air intake

They look good, and it's not gonna hurt air flow much since 95% of the air comes from under the car

Thanks guys, you guys think i should keep them polished and go with some blackbirds? or just paint the grilles black? I just dont know about a lot of red and polished look. I plan on blacking out the roof and mirrors...and i just did the ceta mod over last weekend.
