Default Powdercoated alternator case?

Has anyone on here powdercoated their alternator case? I saw a picture of it somewhere, but for the life of me, can't find it now. I spent about two hours searching through the "best engine bay" thread and couldnt find it there either. If anyone has pics they could post up, that'd be great! My boyfriend rebuilds alts for a living, and while he's got mine apart I was going to have the case done, but can't decide on a colour.

I had a black powdercoated case at one time - my leaking power steering pump pissed on it, subsequently taking out said alternator. The powdercoating had actually bubbled where the fluid was hitting it.

I wanted to retain the case, but this time around, I went with a higher amp alternator (the black-cased one was a 160 amp, I now run a 200 amp), and that came in a different case. It still fits with the stock alternator bracket, but doesn't use the rear screw. Never got around to powdercoating it though.

I'll have to dig through some old pics to see if I have any installed pics.

And that is exactly why I chose not to pursue getting this new one powder coated.

That looks sick! Too bad I'm too lazy to do that! I'm considering polishing my t-stat housing though, its little enough that it shouldnt take me a million hours! lol

As long as you can see it a powdercoated case would look good
