Default How good is Zaino??

Ok, before i break down and order like 50 bucks worth of stuff from them, really, how good is the Zaino compared to say McGuire's and Zymol.
Will it really help fill in all my damn swirl marks over time? And is it really worth the money. Does anyone know of any national chains where i can buy it from, as opposed to ordering it in the mail and paying s&h.

Get Z2,Z5...then the car wash, spray wax, and also make sure to get ZFX...

I'd get the Z-2 polish, Z-6 enhancer spray, Z-7 wash, Z-18 clay bar and the ZFX additive.

ZeeQuick, regarding swirls, all I can say is be very patient. I have been working on the swirls on my 98 since I bought it about one year ago. Z5 does work, but I am talking maybe 30 - 40 coats and still not all gone. I do alternate and use Z2 for shows, then go back to work with the Z5. When I bought the car the guy had taken really good care of it, but didn't have a clue what a swirl was, so I got 3+ years of swirls to fill in. I do recommend, claying and Z1, as well as Z6 between every coat of Z2 or Z5.

I clayed, ZFXed and Z2'ed my car last night. UNFREAKING real! My car has never looked so good, and that's with just 1 coat of the ZFX/Z2 blend!

Sounds like some pretty good testimonials. So as i understand it the Z5 is a wax+swirl remover, and the Z2 is a high gloss wax correct. So if i just keep putting coats of Z5 on, it will be protected as well.

That is true, but you need to use Z2 after Z5 to get the best results. Z2 is 99.9% optically perfect. I also use the ZFX. I live in Texas and with the humidity the way it is this is the only way that Z2/Z5 will cure. I have not used the Zaino clay bar but have used other brands before. It is a great product.

I have always used Meguire's in the past but wnet and spent the $75.00 to get all that I needed in the Zaino brand. I am happy with it, but the results were not as AWESOME as I have heard or seen. Maybe it will take a while longer and more coats to get it perfect....

I know I'm the minority here but...I think Zaino is over-rated. I bought it when I first bought my car because everyone raved about it, but you know what...I get just as good of results with Mothers paste wax. Even on my black car! Zaino is too involved and there are too many steps, not to mention the outragious price. Just my opinion, but I say save your money, and buy an electric buffer from Sears($30 bucks), it will take all the work out of waxing.

The old wax is removed by washing with Dawn. The claying will also ensure it is gone. The Z-5 is a thicker version of the Z-2 to FILL the swirls in, gradually making them dissappear. Some people with dark colored cars use the Z-5 exclusively, it also has an incredible shine. The Z-2 has a better shine.

The best qualities about Zaino are the durability and protection it provides. Since prepping a car, such as claying, isn't a Zaino thing, let's see, wash the car, dry it, apply the Zaino, remove it, yup, I can see where you don't do any of that with a wax. Zaino is so easy to apply and remove, a buffer isn't remotely necessary. Since it stacks, each layer added is increasing the shine, the durability and protection. Considering some people get up to 20+ coats from a single bottle of Zaino polish, it actually is very reasonably priced.

All Dish Soap removes wax. That is why you should never use it on your car unless you want to remove the wax.

To my knowledge(very little bit! Dawn diswashing detergent removes old wax, Zaino recommends you to use dawn first before using the Zaino product for the first time. For all the applications and details go to www.zainobros.com. some one correct me if I'm wrong.

Correct, Dawn is only used the first time to remove old wax. Dawn will not remove Zaino but it still isn't recommended to use it but to remove the old wax.

Most people put extra coats of polish on the nose to protect from bugs. They wipe right off a Zaino'd surface.

There are alot of products for different purposes.

The Z-1 is a cleaner/prep/bonding agent. Used the first time and twice a year or every 10 coats of polish. The Z-1 is not required if the ZFX additive is used.

The Z-2 is the main polish people use, it has the best shine.

The Z-3 is a version of the Z-2 with an additive to help preserve non-clear coated cars. All newer cars are clear coated.

The Z-5 is like a thicker version of the Z-2 to help fill in the swirls best. The Z-5 still provides a graet shine. In most cases, if you aren't putting in new swirls, it will take 4-6 coats to fill in existing swirl marks.

The Z-6 is the enhancer/detail spray, great stuff. It is what is used by most Zainoholics. Makes the surface slicker, shinier and static free. Use a California Duster, then the Z-6 and it looks like you just polished your car.

The Z-7 wash is also great. It actually has a small amount of polish in it to help maintain the finish when you wash the car.

The Z-9 is a leather cleaner, it can also be used on vinyl and plastics, like dash, console, etc. and leather of course.

The Z-10 is the leather conditioner, a great product, I use it on the interior, dash, console, etc.

The Z-12 is a mild abrasive for polishing glass. It is great for removing the crud that builds up on the outside AND inside of the glass. DO NOT use it on after-market tint as it is an abrasive.

The Z-14 is also a mild abrasive used to clean up hard plastics like headlight and tail light lenses.

The Z-16 is the tire gloss. It is also great to use on the weather stripping, plastic cowl, etc. Some people even use it on the dash, etc. for a shinier finish.

The Z-18 is the clay bar, the best one I've ever used. Claying is a must to remove all the surface contaminants and get back to the original smooth surface and get the ultimate results in the finish.

The ZFX is the accelerator additive. It is a great product. I use it with every coat of polish but it isn't necessary. It will dry faster, cure instantly and provide a harder more durable finish. I was one of the lucky folks who got to test out ZFX for 2 years before it was released. I was amazed when I used the first formula. I think it is in the 4th formula now, getting better each time he improves it.

I hope this helps you understand the different products a little easier.

Zaino is the best, hands down!!!
