Default !egr block off plate

Does anybody know where i can get a cool looking egr block off plate? I have seen some on here but i dont know who sells them. They are a cover for the egr hole and they make them with an ss logo or firebird logo. Just wondering if any body knew who sells them. If you have any information please reply. Thanks alot

I think the only EGR blockoff plate that your going to find is the plate that block EGR gasses at the exhaust manifold. And believe me, they are not 'cool' looking.

I would just opt for an LS6 intake manifold (no EGR). Deleting the EGR on a stock LS1 manifold is not going to net you any HP. You will also need to delete the EGR code in your PCM if you don't want to stare at a permanent SES light once you remove the EGR valve.

I believe the plate your talking about just fill in the depression in the intake manfold on non-EGR intakes (ie: LS6) They are NOT made to actually close-off the EGR hole in an EGR style manifold like you have.

Are you referring to that opening on the LS* intake that is above the throttle body neck? If so, NightHawk who posts on here was doing some very nice engraved plates to fill this void...I have one, quality piece...

Alan ...

Those plates in the pictures are installed on a LS6 intake .. Not on an older style LS1 intake with EGR.

I made a set myself out of a old license plate i did some rough cut with metal snips then lined up where the holes would be drilled them and tighten the rough plates to my air and egr spots then took a wizzer and ground them to the same shape as where they were bolted to. then remove them paint & after they dry put a cut gasket or high temp silicone tighten down with the same bolts that you removed and your done IN about 1-2 hrs

You COULD pinch the EGR tube off from the inside(if you haven't already trimmed it off too far) and then just cut it off flush and put the cover over it. I don't see why ya wouldn't really? I'm fisen to delete my egr air and stuff just to get it out from under my hood and make something to cover it up atleast.

The only reason i dont want to dissasemble and cut the egr system up for a cover is because i am still under warranty and if something goes wrong with my engine i wnat to be able to take the cover off and put the egr back on

Well if you don't want to do that you could probably cut out a peice of thin metal to fit and just take the EGR stuff off and use the bolt that is there and cover it up and then put the plate over it.

Being that you have heards I DOUBT that your car will be warranteed anymore anyway. Most dealeships don't even like a cat back exhaust especially if a guy owns the vehicle. Much less a $1300 set of headers.

No we talked to the dealership about that, and they said any bolt-ons are fine as long as all the internals are stock.
