Sorry.. got busy and got into the "lurker" mode for a while there.. im busier than a one legged man in a **** kicking contest.. lol

Hey Hey.. its FRIDAY!!!!!!!!

Got a few mods on yesterday.. 3:73 GM gears.. new Eaton posi unit (SLP Auburn died <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" /> ) we will see how good thier warranty is..

Got my Edelbrock torque arm on ... what a great unit for only $135!!! next week is relocation brackets and upper pan hard rod.. then its stereo time!!!

So what have you been up to Andy?

I have so far done:

Several coats of Zaino
Removed all four wheels cleaned and polished every surface of them.
Coated all of the fugly rustly metal with factory correct cast iron grey, and duplicated all of the inspection marks.
Detailed the brakes
Clean and tidied up the engine bay
Cleaned an polished the glass
It goes on and on.

I sure am looking forward to this being over!

I start work tomorrow on getting the SS ready for Super Chevy in Vegas next weekend.. i think im going to try modified class against the trailer queens.. and give someone else a chance to win in street class <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> (plus ive already got a jacket from Pomona this year)

I actually wasn't going to go, since I have a conflict with a work conference that very same weekend, so I'm doing a TON of running around.

Berger is putting on a huge display of 20+ cars and wanted mine to be there, so I couldn't refuse.

Mark didn't want anything, but actually throw in a pair of license plate bolts and red washers. I want to fill in the bottom two plate holes, they look ugly.

Me - basically EVERYTHING! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" /> You know the stuff - bowtie bolts and washers to mount the lower air box, the headlight brackets and fender brackets. A couple fender washers bolts to fill in the odd holes in the core support, the little chromie plugs for the fender humps, some nice alen bolts and silver or black washers for the fenders, and what ever goodies you know I'll need. Did I get it all???

Forgot about Las Vegas.

CVF, was great until it ended and had to drive in SNOW!!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> Granted it was for a short trip from the building to the tailer but AHHHHHHHG! Poor Blue got COLD! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

Won A Golden Spinner Award! I don't know my total points, but I did get 95% of the possible 1000 points. Judge was very tough. Very picky on paint.

Hope you did well at SC!

Glad to hear you did good at the show.. but, whats snow? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Did i mention it will 79 degrees out today??? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I went into modified class against the trailer queens.. took second place..

I got 24 of 25 for the engine (some orange peel on the bottom of the hood)

I got 24 of 25 for interior (loose speaker grill)

I got nailed on paint and bodywork.. Im going to get the car color sanded to help with the paint/orangepeel but I cant do anything with the "body wave" except repaint the car.. maybe a nice marina blue??? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

So I was very happy.. I scored as well as I could and the judge said he couldnt find any dirt/grunge on my car.. anywhere!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Friday is Hillco day <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> Today they come to install garage storage cabinets.. the first step to my garage project.. <img border="0" alt="[Fluffy]" title="" src="graemlins/fluffy.gif" />

Hope you had a GREAT Turkey Day!

It was a blamy 30 somethign degrees today. We had a Thanksgiving with SNOW on the ground! We haven't had one in over 13 years!
