Default quick question

I just purchased a 96-97 SS wing... I was just wanting to make sure it was a OEM SS wing.. Jarret who is a member here is the guy i bought it off of.. good guy and good guy to deal with... anyway.. he said it was off his 97 SS which was white.. he showed me pictures of the car... But all this is from what he told me... The wing is nice and completely sanded down ready for painting.. How can i know that it is an OEM SS wing?.. I looked in where the third brake light goes and it does say made in canada... off the top of my head i dont know what the numbers were that where right next to it but i can get those asap if somebody could run those for me i would greatly appreciate it... Its not the fact that i dont want to believe that its not a "true" ss wing... i just dont want to say its an oem wing if its not... I bolted it up earlier which was a breeze and it matched up pretty damn good... please help...
