I'm going to have to take my car back this week. What ticks me off <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" /> is when people try to screw you. I mean the tint guy saw it and knew it wasn't going to dry (like he said) and now I have to waste another 3 hours there not to mention that the place is 27miles away from me (54 there and back) which is going cause me to waste time, gas, and put more miles on my little baby. <img border="0" alt="[Banging Head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" /> SOrry just letting my anger and frustration out. <img border="0" alt="[whiner]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cry.gif" /> Some words of advice to all, don't leave any shop unless you are totally sure they have done a good job and you won't have to come back <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

Re: Window Tinting I spent $182.94 (w/ tax) for 6% tinting on my corvette's side and rear windows. However, my vette's rear hatch doesn't open, so some poor guy had to crawl behind the two seats into that little compartment... I'm sure he had a lot of fun, lol <img border="0" alt="[Banging Head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" /> .

Re: Window Tinting I paid $125 for my tint on the front 2 windows single back glass tint and a windshield strip. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> when You said something about the dot matrix.....did they put the tape on the inside of the vehicle?? and was it vinyl??

mines been fixed very well. He cut the tint from the dot matrix and applied black vinyl tape. Then he brought the tint up to the tape. It looks very good and clean. However, I did have to mention it to the guy. At first he was like "yeah we can't do anything about the dot matrix" but after I let him know that I knew a little about this stuff, he let it rip. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I'm gonna go next week and see about getting the vinyl thing done. sounds like it would look great. about the windsheild....isn't tinting the whole thing illegal?I think it would be. Anybody know anything about tinting the T-tops darker? the factory stuff isn't quiet dark enough. I've heard if you tint the t-tops then they might crack and break. I dunno...thanx

Re: Window Tinting I got my windows tinted at a place called "Mothers Window Tint". I paid 175.00 for the entire tint job, (all windows). I used the reflective metal tint with a lifetime warranty. The metal tint doesn't crack, bubble, or peel and it looks better on the dot matrix, ( those little bumps at the top of the rear window) <img border="0" alt="[Firebird]" title="" src="graemlins/formula.gif" />
what tint percent did yall go with?? whats legal around here is 35% but I'm going to definetly go with 30 or lower, even with 25 you can't tell that much of a difference..you can still see the person in the car fine at night

You can peel back the tint where the micro dots are and fill it with Elmer's clear gel glue. Apply a line of glue then slowly squeegee it out. It fills in the air space between the dots and it's a great alternative to vinyl and/or painting them
