Default Repair or replace rim

My g/f hit a huge pothole with her SS and damaged one of her chrome 5-spokes. She lives in MI and I live in FL, so I haven't seen it yet. Apparently, it still holds air fine, just looks bad, so I'm assuming it's just the lip.

Which is a smarter choice, replacing the rim, or having it repaired? Is there any place you can recommend to send it to for repairs? I've looked on some message boards and ebay, but can't find a single rims for sale. Anyone know where to find one, short of a dealer?

Default Re: Repair or replace rim

Just replace the rim (IMO). Try DiscountTire or SLP for a new one. Then buy one extra and put slicks on the other set. Or find someone selling 2 and buy both of them and you still 2 extra for DR's or just extra rims.
