Quick question about decals!

Quick question about decals! Im getting ready to put on my ram air sticker on my hood and was curious to how everyone is installing them. Are you guys taking the wax off the area were you put the sticker and then waxing over? Or just putting the sticker on top of the wax and calling it a day? Thanks guys!
its not recommended to install decals over a waxed surface. the adhesive will not bond correctly with the cars surface. so i'd recommend removing the wax in that area first. also, it's not recommended that you wash/wax decals for a week or so, so as not to interfere with the bonding
