clear over fuel rail covers?
clear over fuel rail covers? I've got a set of red FRCs on my car and today I took them off to clean em up... and noticed they look damn good when they're wet (of course it seems like everything else does too)... anyway, has anybody put a clear coat over theirs to give it a "wet" look?
no and yes. no- because it wasn't FRC's. yes- because i did that with my SLP lid. the black plastic look has a very dry look, so i sanded it with some 600 or 800 grit sand paper (i forget which) and then i sprayed it with a clear coat. so now it has that "wet", deep black look all the time. much better.
my frc's have been cleared, but they were also painted, so that's not really the same thing...

^I would say hell no to any kind of shine product, it will become dusty after a day of driving.
Sand it and clear coat it like crimson said. I'd recommend duplicolor high temp engine enamel, it resists oil and crap very well.
