The LH cover (drivers side) will not need to be modified
The RH cover (pass side) will need to be modified ... You can do a search here on LS1Tech to find out what needs to be cut on the pass. side cover.

Re: rail covers BTW, don't get the newer model Vette covers. They only have 1 slot cut in them on the drivers side for the fuel purge hoses. The P/Ns I showed you above have the required 2 slots cut in the drivers side cover that your 98 car requires. You will see these 2 hoses (with silver tape) on your car.

Re: rail covers Kimchee and Rice is right. Just a warning...I had to cut alot off my 'vette FRC's to get them to fit. The problem lies with the AIR system. They do fit though. I have a pic (blurry) in my sig.
Make sure you run a search looking for FRC's. There are a lot of helpful threads on this topic. Feel free to PM me if necessary when installing them. Oh ya, make sure you have a dremel if you do install them. Keep it on a lower RPM setting or you'll melt the plastic instead of cut it.
