Default Difference Between LT1 Ram Air Hoods

Is there a difference between the Trufiber LT1 Ram Air hood and the SLP LT1 Ram Air Hood besides the price? I can't see a styling difference by looking at the pics. Is there a difference I am missing?

It says the SLP was used on the Firehawks, but I don't see a difference. I haven't heard anything bad about the fitment of the Trufibers so I am leaning that way.

Also, is there somewhere I can get a better deal than $605 shipped on the Trufiber?

I know someone out there is dying to show off his encyclopedic knowledge of hoods.

The SLP was the stock hood as the WS6 Package was installed by SLP. As to the differences they look identical, but trufibers sometimes don't fit perfectly and take some tweaking. Also, I'm not sure but I think the Trufiber hood is not functional and the rear baffle needs to be cut out to make it functional, but I may be thinking of another brand. If you can lay your hands on an SLP then they are the best fitment out there, but rare and pricey.

According to the info at the WS6 store, the Trufiber is fully functional and comes with the mesh screen. I was just curious if there was a difference in looks between the two. Thanks for the info Dave.

the trufiber is fully functional, there is no need to cut it to make it functional. pm brynnda on here, she can get it for you for a lot less than 605
