Default License Plate frames?

I want a funny vanity plate, but really don't want to spend like $500 bucks for a year or whatever just to have it, so I figured I would just do a license plate frame.

You guys got any good ones?
I don't want something tacky, just a plain plastic black one with like white raised letters or something, don't want vinyl since it might fall off.

I saw a picture some one had a SS that said "Drive a Hybrid, I need the gas"
I thought that was pretty funny lol.

Or if theres a place where I can have some decent quality ones custom made, I kinda want something like "Punch it, Chewy!"

EDIT: Just searched through a bunch of older threads, "LS1Tech, I pimp slap Mustangs!" is pretty good too lol!

I'm not sure about other states fees, but in california, its only $41 a year for a custom plate, which isn't bad at all.

As for the funny plate frames, google/ebay will probably go very far, or just go with the ls1tech.com one you mentioned.

Oh wow, thats cheap!

I thought I heard or saw (on some website it was $500/year?)
I just check myplates.com (don't know if thats the best place) but it looks like $30-$50 or so/year, which I could do.

I'll look into them again I guess lol.

I would double check your state fees as its only $20-$25 more a year to have vanity plates instead of regular plates.

$40 buck extra in Indiana for the custom plate. I also have the 'I pimp slap mustangs' frame but undecided if I going to keep it on much longer or just hang it in the garage.

I just checked again, its like $50-$60 more here in Texas it looks like, depending on the style from myplates, but somehow the price on the $50 is $95/year (I'm assuming from normal fees) but the $60 version (without the added "T" on the left) goes up to $195/year?!

I don't know when you are supposed to redo tags lol...I've sold my cars before I ever had to...plus mine don't have expiration dates on them or anything.
