295 35 18 nitto 555r !!! help i think we can get nitto to make a 555r in a 295 35 18 if we all constantly email them and ask for it .i have a 2002 z28 convert with a few mods i couldnt get the car to hook at all with the stock rim tire combo 1st gear is useless.i just put 18 inch zo6 wheels on the car i wanted nitto555r but they didnt have my size i went with the 555 in 285 35 18 in back it still wont hook for sh%% . i want to keep modifiying my z28 but without traction what good is more power .i have been emailing nitto and telling them the need for a 295 38 18 for good street traction .i finally got someoneto email me back who is listenig he said they are talking about a 555r in that size to fit the zo6 rim.EVERYONE WHO NEEDS THIS SIZE SHOULD EMAIL NITTO EVERYDAY UNTIL THEY MAKE IT . if they get enough emails they will make it according to the rep who contacted me start EMAILING NITTO if we work together we can run 18 inch rims with a good tire

Re: 295 35 18 nitto 555r !!! help I cant belive they havent caught on at Nitto . 18 inch rims are so common these days . I have a c5 and a z28 both with 18 inch rims and I cant find a decent tire. Go figure . We should all email nitto they might wake up and make it.

Re: 295 35 18 nitto 555r !!! help They do make an 18" drag radial, but unfortunately it is sized for the Ford Lightning trucks. Pretty lame! Corvettes came out in '97 with 18" wheels and they still haven't made a 295/35/18 for the Vettes. I guarantee more Vettes need them than heavy Lightnings.

Also, BFG already has their 18" drs being built in 6 sizes. Expect April 1 delivery on those. I had made a post here, all the vette forums, stang forums, supra forums, and was able to compile approx 700 unique replies to those posts which I printed out & laid on the table for BFG & Nitto. They listened to you all.

Re: 295 35 18 nitto 555r !!! help It has about 1/4" for it to touch both side of the groundaffects. I'v taken it out to the race track and even under high speeds when the wheel expands it still doesn't touch. I love it, it gives it that mean stanza like its going to eat the road just sitting there. I run 18's in the back and 17's in the front. Execpt of corse when I have my runners up fornt.

Re: 295 35 18 nitto 555r !!! help I wish they would make some 315/35 18's or even better for my kind of teast and if the would do it for even $400-500 I would get some 345/35 18's and have my rims ship to Dallas have them wide them up the 13" wide thats my real goal. The only reason I don't do it now is cuz they just offer street tires for the viper 345/35 18's which would not last on my car or wouldn't hook for ****.

Re: 295 35 18 nitto 555r !!! help i am glad to see someone is going to make something . i hope nitto makes the 555r in a 295 35 18 or 295 40 18 i would love to see something from nitto in a 305 or 315 as well. the bfg drag radial is better than nothing but how streetable are they?
