There were some pics floating around a year ago or so of an SS 'vert with 4 'vette seats in it. It looked very good. I don't think they are a direct swap though. You'd probably have to do some fabrication.

Vette seats definately look WAY better.... but I imagine a pricey add on? Where would I be able to get them? Through GM only?

You're looking at 1000-1500 bucks for both front seats. I was looking for a set of Black/Torch red Z06 seats, but never really found a decent deal on them. They should bolt in directly yes, however, I'm not sure what is needed to get the power seating etc. work. I would imagine they use the same connectors, but I'm not positive. But they will bolt in, I measured them before. I have a hookup at a dealer, I'll see what kind of price he can get me.

Power steering to work? Unless you mean the power seat controls. Also, you mentioned that it should bolt in, does that go for the rears also?

LOL, whoops...I was a bit preoccupied at the time. Yes I meant power seating, the connectors are/should be the same. Is a power passenger seat an option in the vette? That's the only thing I'm unsure about, I've never been in one, other then to measure the seat brackets.

As for the rears, that is an all custom job. You would have to take out everything in the back. Most likely drill some holes, and possibly fabricate some brackets. I'm not sure what the floorboards look like back there. You can see he also added a custom center arm rest for the rear as well. Definately not a direct bolt in though...

That'd be sweet though, even more reason to take the hunnies in the SS, heh heh

A power passenger seat is an option with the Sport Seats (coupe/'vert). However, I do not believe that is available for the Z06 seats. I don't know how difficult it would be to retrofit power controls into one of them. You could possibly buy a power passenger seat frame and then put the Z06 cover on it or something.

If you're not opposed to used seats, they come up for sale every now and then at the Corvette Forum. Still pretty expensive though...

Yeah, I was on corvette forums for awhile looking for the seats but I'm too picky. The chances of someone wanting to get rid of their blac/torch red sport seats is somewhat rare. But they are awesome seats.

There are some good custom upholsterers out there that will hook you up with any kind of covers you want. That might be your best option if you're looking for the mod red Z06 seats and a power passenger seat. You could buy a set of dual powered seats out of a wrecked car or something and get new leather put on them. They'd look brand new.

Edit - Just wanted to add that if you end up with the mod red interior, you gotta post some pics!!

For the front seats, yes. Those rear's look out of place to me though.

Anyone know if there are manual corvette drivers sears? I'm a lowly
non-power equipped guy.

I'm pretty sure that all of the C5 driver's seats have been powered. I wonder if you could adapt the seat itself to a manual driver's frame?

I don't see why not. Pulling the power seat frame off would be no hard task. The only problem I see is that you wouldn't be able to flip the seat back forward, or adjust it. How would you get around that? Putting the seat on manual frame and getting it to slide up and back manually seems like it could be done.

Actually, the seat back itself is not powered in Corvettes, so this wouldn't be an issue. The power controls only handle the up/down, back/forth, tilt, and air pump functions. This might work pretty well, provided the Corvette seat will fit easily on the non-powered Camaro frame.

Just so ya know, the wiring harness is still there for the powered seats. The only thing lacking is the actual powered seat itself.
