Default Trans Am exhaust tip DELETE!!!

Ok guys I have been thinking about this for about 2 years and just wondering if anyone else has as well. I know 6litereater recently came out with the diffuser for the Trans Ams and I was really hoping to see a exhaust tip delete diffuser. I am dumping the exhaust before the rear axle and was thinking fo filling the exhaust area with some kind of rear diffuser. Any ideas?

You could buy 6LE's diffuser, then make your own fin pieces to fill in the exhaust tip spaces. That won't look right, though.

You'd probably have to cut out the "CETA" area and make your own one-piece diffuser.

I just did this to my car... And as well as my friends car. We both have the same Trans ams pretty much. lol I love the new look honestly! My brother did his 2 years ago, and I always liked his car after he did his. And since I just picked up a TA, I coppied his.

This is all I have for pics right now, but could get more. PM me if you want any additional photos. These pics kinda look wierd b/c of the lighting...

I think he means he wants to delete the tips and fill in the area where the tips were. Looks as though you just removed the tips?

I think that it looks even better without the tips there.

I agree it looks naked, that why I want to possibly put in maybe 2 vertical diffuser fins in each cutout. I dont want to fill them in, just add something there instead of dummy tips.

i always thought of doing this and having someone fill in the area for the tip opening on the bumper. it would take a talented and experienced body guy to make it work and last but its something i thought about

Man I think you are the only one that has ever said that. Personally I hate the look of a T/A without tips.

yeah it looks wierd.. idk it doesnt ruin the look of the car but the rear end of a T/A needs to look sexy, hot, ect.. maybe because of how the rear bumpers are designed but yeah totally agree..

Yes but a car with molded in inserts for tips, and then no tips, just looks incomplete. My TD's are a custom side exit but the Formula bumper just has slight indentations in the very bottom of the bumper. Hardly notacable, even better when it's lower, which mine is.

Buy a diffuser and pay McNord a little extra to turn in into a delete if you want
