Convertible ?

Convertible ? I'm not sure but didn't the 97 aniversary edition SS convertible come with 16 inch wheels. I also think the new cavilier Z24 vert comes with 15 inch wheels. The regular Z24 comes with 16s. Why do the put smaller wheels on the verts. Just curious.
Re: Convertible ? In the begining of ragtops, GM was concerned that the lower profile tires would harshen the ride, and cause the car to "rattle" more.
Bad description but you get the idea. Prior to 2001 you couldn't get upgraded suspension components on convertible SS's from SLP.
Structural rigidty concerns.
