Default Cruise control handle letters...

...getting slowly erased. Is there a way to restore them? Im thinking like some type of decal or transfer? It would suck to just having to buy a new unit when the one in the work works perfectly.

Has anyone researched this? I used the search option but came up empty.

It's possible a place that makes vinyl decals could make you a custom decal for it.

I would honestly just buy a new piece from gm. It's well worth it, especially considering the fact that all parts for our cars will be completely discontinued sooner or later.

Keep in mind too that you will never get it *just right* as it was from the box.

That's all.

Ha today I was just seeing that my letters were disappearing too. Will probably end up getting a new unit as a decal could just end up peeling off later with the letters so small.

Can the lever itself be replaced without disassembling the whole steering wheel column?

I try not to use the lever when I have enough space to switch lanes. When I don't, and need to indicate to others I am about to switch, I grab the bottom of the lever. It's hard to get used to.
