$1700 for WS6 hood from GM?

$1700 for WS6 hood from GM? I asked the JAX pontiac parts department how much the WS6 hoods are and he said $1700! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> That sounds like alot, didnt some of you say they were more like 1100 or so where you live?

Re: $1700 for WS6 hood from GM? A friend of mine bought his for $1200 tax included here in DFW, but he works at a body shop and recieved a discount. List on those hoods is around $1700. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> I could probably get it cheaper though since my brother works at a Chevy dealership and gets the hook up on parts. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" /> I think last time he told me he could get for $1000. They might cost more now since WS6's are no longer in production.
Re: $1700 for WS6 hood from GM? We have two sponsors that sell reproduction ones. That Suncoast WS6 hood isn't as smooth looking, especially with its square nostril holes.

Re: $1700 for WS6 hood from GM? The suncoast is more squared off on the nostrils, and you can automaticly look at it and tell its not the original hood. If you want something that looks more OE go with the ASCD hood. <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />

That might be an option for you.
