clear coat problem
clear coat problem ok my car is a 2001 ws6 red, at some point in the last year or so something appears to have gotten on the hood, car has been in storage for over a year, there is a spot about the size of a silver dollar. it looked like something dripped or something i dont know...i took a rag and put warm water on it and placed it on top of the spot to see if it would come off...
it bubbled up like a blister
it is not peeling though.
how can i correct this or stop it from spreading? I want to bring the car out and detail it but i am now nervous as to what to do due to this paint spot on the hood.
any suggestions?

Without seeing it, I would guess some bad stuff dripped on the hood and caused the paint to lift. That's why you see the blister. The only correction is to repaint. To stop it, you will have to remove all of the paint/product that is affected. This type of thing reminds me of a spider bite. It usually starts small and spreads unless you can "cut it off". I'm sure that's not what you wanted to hear. That's my best "internet" guess
