Default (Wire Mod) Wheel Well Rivet Replacements?

What are you guys using to replace the rivets that accidentally break off when pulling the wheel well out to paint them or perform the wire mod? The old pieces that broke off really held everything in there tight, and i would like to replicate that.

Below is a picture of the piece that I am speaking of.

Thanks tech

I would just go to Autozone and look on the swivel racks they have and pick some out that are similar. I doubt they make those ^^ specific ones anymore so getting them new from a dealer is probably out of the question unfortunately.

What do you do at Lowe's? Do you like working there? I think I am about to get hired there part-time to unload the trucks after my current full-time job. I have interviewed with the store's HR manager, and the manager below the store manager (operations manager?). I am waiting on the results of my drug test and background check to schedule my final interview with the store manager.

you guys have seen rivets like this at lowes and home depot? I dont know how these worked from GM because i do not see any way to adjust them tighter or looser. i guess they just pushed in and were a one time use item?

the lowes' around my area doesnt have anything exactly like this and the home depot's have less selection than the lowes'. i have not checked autozone but i will check there and oreillys for sure.

thanks guys

Man I couldn't find any around town when I needed some. Had to get mine from the local stealership.

At the parts store just get the ones you push in. Skip the rivets. The ones Im talkin bout have a smooth round head and the shaft has multiple flanges to hold in tight. They're smoother looking and cheaper to replace if you take stuff apart later. Also they hold better then the two-piece ones shown in the post above.

I use them to hold on my W68 kit and they held even when I hit a big coon, an Armadillo and when I bottomed out once on some unmarked road damage.

I'm really surprised the dealership still carried those. I myself hate running around from store to store trying to find body clips or clips for the splash gaurds.

Not sure if anyone here knew this but Autozone has more than what's just on the display racks. They also have a cabinet behind the counters that has loose items in it. You have to ask because I've never had anyone volunteer the info. When I needed a small part that wasn't out the guy took me to the back to pick out the part I needed. I bet they have these too

Weld or Bondo the holes closed, smooth, and then paint with Engine Enamel.
