Default How the MTX Thunderform box can look!

Here is the original:

I needed to change the opening size of the cover to fit an Alpine Type R speaker instead of the POS MTX sub it came with. This is the end result:

With the flash, the pics make it look gray, but it is black on the leather and the center cover.

The center is faux suede headliner material. Yes it does muffle sound slightly, but not significantly. I am also covering the original material in the trunk with this material. It is cheap, feels pretty good, and looks great for parts like this in person.

The "chrome" ring is door molding. You can pick it up for about $3-$4 at most auto parts stores:

Thoughts???

Sorry, installed is a long way away. There is NO interior in my car right now (I mean no steering wheel, dash, or carpet, nothing). I am running new wires for this and that, covering panels in that same material, replacing the carpet with black, etc. Basically, no installed pics for quite some time.

This is, however, my new interior theme in a nutshell. I used the chrome ring to match the rings on the vents, and on my 6LE gauge bezel. The leather (vinyl) is the same. The carpet is as black as the center "suede." The chrome is sparing and tasteful. I'm going for "Aston Martin mated with Ferrari in an F-Body."

Sorry for the lack of pics, or progress!
