Default Mecham wing for Trans Am convertible...

I absolutely love everything about my car. There is literally only one thing I would change about the look if I could, & that's the damn vert spoiler. Everything on these cars is so aggressive looking, then you have this wimpy little flat wing. I wish so badly the verts had the t-top spoiler, then it would be perfect.

That said, I really like the looks of this Mecham wing for the verts. Does anybody here have it installed? I'd love to see a pic from the rear, but haven't found anything yet. Also, how hard is it to install? I'm guessing it would be a body shop job, but it would sure be great if they came pre-painted in red. Here is a comparison of my car & the Mecham car from their website. Any opinions?

Got my shorter pushrods installed last night & all seems to be well. I'm about 99% positive that was my problem. I have an appt. next Thursday to go back on the dyno, so I'll be sure to post the results!

The Mecham spoilers look a little over-done to me. Plus, I'm not sure how good their quality is, considering the problems they've had with their hoods.

Yeah, I should add, I like it better than the stock vert spoiler, but still not nearly as much as the coupe wing. I'd really like to see some different angle pics of it though, but can't seem to find any online anywhere.

I've spoke to Dennis about ordering one, was about to in fact until I found out how it installs, it literally glues down with some type of epoxy, so in the event you don't like it its new trunk lid time since you use you old lid/spoiler combo, FWIW.

hmm...... Why not get it (Maybe paint it) and just set it on there and see if you like it or not, if it looks bad take it off and sell it.

I was thinking about swapping my hatch for a base hatch and running the base firebird mecham wing.

Cool, thanks for the pic! Wow, that is actually way more aggressive than I thought it would be from behind. So, do they come painted, or does anybody know? I know it's a long shot, but I thought I'd check.

In the second picture i had to double take to see why the gas door was on the passenger side. I see what you did there

lol! Nice eye. Yeah, that was the only pic close to that angle I had of my car on hand, so I just mirrored the Mecham pic to make the comparison easier.

Why not try to find the SLP firehawk spoiler. I think it looks a lot better from behind and is almost identical from the side.

And because it fits with the standard high-level Trans Am hatch only.
