Default looking for ideas on where to put 1 gauge

I want to put a trans temp gauge in my camaro but i don't want to use the typical pillar mount pod.
Anybody have any creative ideas on where to put it?

If you don't use the little storage compartment by the cigarette lighter, then cut the compartment off, glass it over, and voila mount the guage down there, looks cool, but still kinda stealthy.

I am working on some way to mount gauges in one or both of the vent openings over the radio.
It looks like it is going to be easy. They make the plate to fit the same vents in 87-93 Mustangs. That is what I am going to try to duplicate. The trim with the vents pops right out and the vents unsnap easy.
It's worth a try. You just can't use 2 5/8" gauges.
Good luck
Dave

Dave, i was doing the same thing on mine, i already got a spare piece, and removed the vents, and glassed the holes over, and sanded it smooth, now i just gotta mount the guages, but i'm not sure if i want to finish this or just leavethem on my pillar. If i mount them in the duct, then i gotta buy a new stock pillar, since it has holes from mounting the pillar pod, but i think the mounting in the duct would be more stealthy, and since i don't have A/C, and don't drive in the winter, i don't even use the vents except that my shift light is hidden behind the vents, so when it goes off, the whole vent area lights up.
