I have a switch panel for right in front of my shift **** on my trans am it has six switches and the lettering is clear so I can backlight it. Does anyone know of a good way to put red lights or red led lights behind it. I can't think of any practical ways to do it

I'd use a set of strip LED's, you can buy them on ebay & other places. Cut to the mength you need & then just locate them where the light shows thru the best.

Leds are the way to go.

Inexspensive, bright, and easy to wire up.
