Are you wanting to do a vynal or have it painted on there? I've thought about doing flat black on my car but I haven't even owned it a whole year yet so I'm still too afraid to do anything big with it.

^do it, there was a black SS on here with the black manta stripe, looked friggin gorgeous! good thing about vinyl is that its not permanent, so if you dont really like it you can pull it off, no harm done. yet at the same time, they still look great, and most think they're painted on. And if you decide you want to keep them, you can always remove them and have it painted on for a better/longer lasting finish, which is what i'm planning on next.

What do you think is the difference between the two, lol? I've got a manta, but my car is red, so it wont help you.

Like I said over PMs, the full manta looks better but it's way harder to install. I believe that the 'new' manta was developed just because of the difficulty to install the original. It's worth the effort, imo

Like I said...what do you think is the "old" or "new" manta? I have NO idea what you're talking about and haven't seen any new variations in years. I've had mine on the car for at least 2 years now.

Do you mean the full manta all the way to the hatch? or the manta "outline" that the decal company sells?

Got any pics?

The one that snake stomper has is the old manta, which is a full stripe, the new one is just the outline on the scoop

The outline stripe alone is hardly "new".... but that'swhat they call it, so I'll let it slide, lol. But for those who dont know what the stripe looks like, here it is:
