Alright Mark, sometimes you anger me. I still like the diffuser and can't wait to get mine (first ordered baby!!!). It would look like *** without tips (corsa clones), so no side exits for me. Before you came out with the diffuser, side exit is what I wanted. There may be something in this and there will be a lot of good looking 'birds out there with these. Trans Ams with Formula rear bumpers and side exit and interesting ideas like that. It will make Camaros look good too.
Thanks again for keeping the market alive!

I've had side exit boom tubes for a couple of years and I love it, best way to run TD's in my opinion. I think it might be hard to pull off the look right with side skirts on these cars. Not that it can't be done, I've seen McNord's renderings before with his side exit skirts and it looks cool as ****. My car is lowered on Strano's and the mufflers (spiral flows) and sometimes the tips scrap, I have oval pipe for the rest. I built them with damn near 1/8" steel (don't remember the gauge) and with the way they are mounted you could damn near jack the car on them, they pretty much act as a skid plate and have never seen any damage. When I made mine I left them tucked up a little bit to keep them a little hidden. Heres a couple of pics, I don't have many, just some one's with the GF.
As you can see they are tucked in enough that they can't really be seen from this angle.

Something like that would be cool.
Also, a "filled in" T/A rear bumper like this, but with a full diffuser would really set it off:

id never seen these types of 'tips' before now.. they look to only take up like 1-1.5" of clearance at the skirt there, and thats without cutting.
seems doable after all (on a lowered car)
