Gauge swap help!!

Gauge swap help!! First off all let me say how much i love this website/forum. Ever since i got my Firebird(I know i should of got an LS1) i get on here and read up on all the stuff everyone does. Now to my dilemma.
[INDENT]I have a 95 firebird with the 3.4 and i love the 97-up gauge clusters. After reading up on the interchangeability of the the v6 clusters between years i found one from a 97 firebird for 12 bucks and i could not pass up my chance. The only problem was that they had taken the needles off, so i put them back on but im still not confident that i put them back on exactly where they should go. But today i went to go look for a new bell housing @ the local pick-a-part, and being thanksgiving weekend, evrything was half off, so i managed to get the plate with the gauges on it for only $3.85. I came home extremely happy only to find that when i put them in, the needle still moves as if it was using the V6 gauges. So when i am doing 70 it says im doing 85 or so.
Does anyone know how to fix it up to where i get an accurate reading on my speedo without going and getting another v6 cluster and keep the 150 in there since i know they are accurate(for a V8 that is.)
