Chrome wheels, Too Heavy???

Re: Chrome wheels, Too Heavy??? My stock firehawk rims weighed like 54 pounds with tires...I went from those to slicks and skinnies...thats about 100lbs of weight off the car...can't really tell that much, but even with the plastic wheels you really can't tell...

Re: Chrome wheels, Too Heavy??? Ihad chrome 18's on my v6 and i know it slowed itdown a little, and a buddy of mine with a GT got cobra wheels and he said he oticed a big difference.

Re: Chrome wheels, Too Heavy??? I noticed a huge dufference between my chromies and stock rims but my tires are a lot heavier too. Stock 17x9 SS silver rims w/ 275 F1s compared to 17x9.5/17x11 chrome AFS ZR1 rims w/ 275/315 BFG Comp T/As! Huge difference. When I drive around with the chromies, I feel like I got two more people in the car, But they look so damn good! I want my 17x9/17x11 Fiske FM5s already!

You MIGHT add 1.5 lbs per wheel by chroming it, so thats about 6 lbs of rotating weight, you can't feel that.
