It was originally considered West after the settlers moved from the Easy coast but eventually further westward advances were made obviously (California, west coast.) Then it became midwest.
At that point, including all those states, I would just call it center.

My winter plans are to find a nice clean 6-speed un-modified , decent mileage( under 100K ) 01-02 SS that is priced like a Camaro, not a Corvette . Thats getting quite hard to come by . I cant believe what people are still paying for these....in the midwest anyways .

Checking in from Iowa...waiting for the snow to start flying here again tonight

Acutally just talked to my buddy's today about my "project stockpile" for the spring.

Nothing too exciting, just a lot of little stuff that needs to get done.

Panhard rod
Subframe Connectors
Girdle for the 10 bolt (more cosmetic than anything)
Strut Tower Brace
Lower Control Arms
Walboro 255
Madz28 Tune
New nittos for the front

Also thinking about doing some cosmetic stuff. I might repaint the Formula door badges white and switch over to a "White on Black" theme with a touch of red under the hood and on the suspension pieces...Also considering a little dynomat and possibly a 98-02 center console...

As for the wheel & tire combo...
I use cheap steel wheels with Blizzak WS-50 winter tires. Blizzak stopped making the WS-50. They now have the WS-60 to replace it. It is slightly different with a higher speed rating. I don't know how it compares.

Chicago here. I have a few mods in mind for my TA. In the spring I am having my car detailed and my windows tinted. Thinking about changing the wheel and tire setup as well.

1st, I am jealous of your garage setup. I have no room to do s*** in mine over winter. I like the bird, looks a lot like mine, and I'm digging the exhaust.

Getting shocks as well. If I can't afford the koni's i'll just go with the bilsteins.
No more true duals.....

3-3.5" flowmaster merge, 3.5" qtp e-cutout, and hooker catback. May get another tune.

Lastly a nice detail on the paint.
Sellin the 4:56s?? Must be thinking about a bottle??

Here in Missouri its been really cold, I havent drove my car for over a month. I got to drive it on my birthday in early Nov. and that was good enough for me. Luckly it was 70+ outside and really nice. But now that the snows hit and they salted the **** out of the roads, my junker sets inside!

My Plans..

Port Heads
Repaint Hood, Spoiler (getting tired of my stripes)
Some Weight reduction
Paint Rotters/ then turn them
Finish my short block (Procharged Build)

Then lots of cleaning for next Spring!!

All depends on money!

Thanks! It's a 2-car garage with about 12 feet more room behind my car. behind the Cadillac is the furnace room. But it has a decent workbench and cabinets along the back wall. Thanks again for the compliments!!

Well their talking 5-9 more inches of snow over the next couple of days. We already have about 8-10" depending on where you are here.

I'm starting to get parts stock piled, just have to find time to do everything. Parts I have...
17x11 ZR1s 50mm offset non deep dish (front wheels )
UMI on car adjustable Poly/Poly LCAs
UMI 3 Point SFCs
Edelbrock Front Coilovers
Edelbrock IAS Rear Shocks
Firestone 9000 Air Bags (rear springs)
ProCar Drivers Seat & Factory Manual Slider
8.8 Housing

Still a tons of parts to come, but snowmobiling is more expensive than I remembered it to be LOL and Christmas stopped me from ordering my Watts link from MWC but soon

Keep this post going, I like seeing what everyone else is doing BTW I got a new camera tonight after work so I need to test it out and post some pics

Hmmm.. well my winter is going to be longer than everyone elses because I leave for deployment in february and it will basically be like winter in that I won't be able to drive it but rather accumulate a large pile of parts.. so many different plans running through my head.. the top 2 motor plans are as follows:

- 402 ci ls2 with f1a blower
- resleeved ls1 to 427 and some type of procharger setup

- trans will be rebuilt
- 9" rear end with wavetrac
- big n littles
- full tubular front suspension
- finish rear suspension
- corbeau seats and cage
- car fully detailed and buffed and front clip repainted possibly

Basically a new car.. lol.. I may reenlist overseas as well.. right now the bonus is close to 40g's for my MOS.

Some of you guys REALLY let your cars hibernate and prep em for the driving season.
My camaro is an all year DD so only upgrades for now are snow tires on snowflakes.

The to do list as I go along:
Sound deadening
Finish the ebony interior conversion (new carpet, T/A door panels, rear seats).
E-cutout on stock exhaust.
