Default Painting Intake

I just picked up a new ls6 intake and i wanna paint it gloss black befor i put it on. Problem is i have no idea about painting and sanding and what not i was wondering if yall could point me in the right direction?

Powdercoat is the way to go. But if you did a little search you can find steps that people have taken to paint their intakes.

^ What he said. Powder coating is the way to go but if the funds won't allow it theres steps posted on here that lets you know what materials is needed and so forth.

You'll want to sand thoroughly before adhesion promotor and after priming (not much finer than 400-600 or the paint won't stick), but here is the order of what I used to paint my FAST gloss black:

1. Adhestion Promoter
2. Sandable primer
3. Gloss black enamel
4. Dupicolor Truck/Van/SUV clear
