Has anyone taken these crap wheels and painted them to make it work? Maybe black spokes and keep the rim and center the same?? I have no idea if this could work I need pics

For sure! I powdered mine and love them, check out my profile if ya want. I did them for free however so it was worth it, if i were dropping any money for it thou i would just have gone with black z06's or anyother OEM wheel..

^ Where in the hell have you been, Lol. I was about to use you as an example actually about this question. But to the OP, Mighty Texan did what he said, he had his powdercoated and at first I didn't think to much of it till he had it done and I seen it and even though there 16's, they look pretty damn good.

^ Are you thinking of just souly painting the spokes gunmetal but leave the lip and and inside the vents silver. Somewhat like a machined face wheel but to coincide with the shape and style to the Snowflakes.

no I am thinking basically taking the center caps out and having the lip covered and gunmetal powdercoating the entire spokes

I did mine. Took forever though. It's worth it if you don't have the money for new rims. I'm saving for some right now.

^9White ya i have been out for some time alot of school and personal crap.. To OP: i use to think the same i would look at all black wheels and say to myself man that looks like **** theres no dimension, but if ya see them in real life it looks really sleek and agressive. I dunno if anyone wants to back me up on that but ya i think its pretty BA. Havent much gun metal in real life though. Here's the thing, changing the wheels is like the #1 best appearence mod you can do cause snowflakes look like pure butt, however like i said i did them free powder coated, painting is prob gunna take alot of time and not be durable, i was going to buy some but then i ended up working for a guy who let us powder stuff for free. 'If i were you' I would look at some wheels like 9White, they will look awesome on your car i think.

Powder coating isn't terribly expensive, only $150 for all 4 at 3 shops in the Salt Lake City area, and you don't have to buy new tires. Even as cheap as OEWheels is, your are out well over a grand with a tire that is any good.

My suggestion would be to keep the ones you have IF you have good tires. If not, I'd hold over 'till you have funds for new tires and some $550ish OEWheels. If your tires are good, I'd powercoat them until I could afford the new wheels and need the new tires.

That is probably the best bet in your case. Particularly with that ss4000, you could use every bit of sidewall you can find!

Get some sticky tires. I am looking at the Nitto NT05s. 150ish/tire and are unbelievable from what I've read. I'm serious about that stall, losing sidewall will make you break loose without even trying unless you have the tires to match! Good find on the wheels and being able to swap the order. It is going to change your car - you'll LOVE it!

yeah the tires I have right now(merit metrics or something) came on the car from the dealer last december when I bought it and havent lost any tread at all yet. They are so still and hard they dont grip at all. I couldn't get traction before the stall...after forget about it!

Oh yes i forgot about tires, a very crutial part for low budget people like myself. That was where i was at this summer. Since you have new tires, i would just paint them instead of powder coat... your going to have to pay to have them taken off and put back on also. Most power places actually do $50 per wheel.. at least the ones ive looked at, 150 is pretty good but i would figure 220 at least for doing them at 50 per wheel and 20 for weight and balance at walmart. and thats like half a set of new awesome wheels.. Kinda a hard place to be at i feel ya...

I would just save the money for new wheels, even if its 50 dollars ,that's 50 more towards new wheels,

Before I put 10 spoke SS wheels on my old V6 I painted the stockers

Without a lip and then with one, they look alright but 17s look that much better.
