Different Headlights From Factory?
Different Headlights From Factory? I have a 02 SS that was 100% bone stock when I bought it with 9400 miles on it last year. It was a one owner and has zero evidence of being in a collision. There is an oddity with the head lights though, On the passenger side the backing of the headlight is gray. The drivers side is chrome backed. Both show the same amount of wear and both "appear" to be OEM. Is one of the two not OEM or is this common with our cars? Maybe a different parts supplier had the left side of the assembly plant vs the right? I would just like to know in case I need to source some OEM lights before they become obsolete.
Its not uncommon for a vehicle to be damaged en-route to the dealership from the plant. Chances are it either got lights off two different runs or one was damaged in transit and replaced by whatever unit the dealership had on the shelf
