Default VFN WS6 Hood Update

I spoke to VFN this morning, and they said that they had looked at the pictures on here and agreed that the hood edges or something were incorrect. I guess I did have the first hood made of the "Normal" ws6 style. They said they are getting another hood in from GM today to make the mold off of, and are going to send me out a new hood.

So it seems they are very good with customer service and responsive to problems that customers have. Let's hope the next one is right on the money!

I guess PSJ talked to them on my behalf? Thanks!

I'll keep everyone updated.

John

Hey Jeannie if you want to quickly check just use my stock 98 formula hood I left it over there a while back if that helps speed things up. You guys can use it too if you need it.

This is the best I could get the new hood to fit on my car. This is basically "best case scenario". Much better, but still not perfect by any means. They are still sending me a new one, but said I can keep this one and do whatever I want with it... Not sure what to do with it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> I'll keep everyone posted. Said they are taking a new mold now, I hopefully I will get it in a couple weeks.

Looks like it's maybe too narrow be sure to let Armando or Layne know. I left my stock 98 hood there so they can compare with that...

The new hood shipped out yesterday. I should have it thursday or friday. I will let everyone know how it works out.

They have been great to deal with so far, and have not given me one bit of grief about this. Couldn't imagine them handling this any better.

I hope this new one fits better, i'm waiting to see how it turns out to be. Hearing from u about their customer service, I never canceled my order but its taking them a lil while due to those fitment issues. Can't wait...............

I got my 4" ram air hood from VFN and have had it painted. I know most of the people on this board do not care for it. Thats ok. Any ways just wanted to say the hood fits almost as good as the factory original and needed very little adjustments and trimming. I think VFN did a great job with this hood.
