Wow, thanks for all of the compliments!
I used plexiglass that I got from a local shop that had some extra..I think you can get some at Lowe's or Home Depot though
My car is currently sitting up on my lift right now without a transmission and another car underneath it but I will update this whenever I get a chance
Yea I thought about that but figured I would give it a try..and it is actually a lot more reflective in person as well
I just went around the whole housing with a flathead screwdriver and pried the lense off, it came off pretty easy and didn't damage the housing...I taped off the inside of the lense and scuffed up the outer lip and then used a matte black paint so you couldn't see the silicon holding it together
you say that until you have me do it to your gf's car

You should have some clear bra material applied while they are still fresh. It'll make them more scratch/chip resistant. I still have a template for my lenses so I'll just cut out another set if/when I need them. If it's plexiglass (and not Lexan) it won't have too much impact resistance against flying rocks. Using LEDs also helps since they run cooler.
Am not! You're only saying that because your only F-body is a V6, and you are pissed that putting 17x9.5" wheels on it made it slow.
That, and you got shanked by a table and bled all over the place. That's like crashing into a parked car. While sober. You =

I did this a couple years ago on my Cadillac CTS fogs and turn signals using Lexan. Car has well over 60k miles put on it since then, including 2 harsh Canadian winters, and they're holding up perfectly. No coating, and no cracks, chips, haze, whatever. They look brand new. Car has 310,000km on it and it's still mint.

I burnt up a set of switchbacks after a couple hours a few years ago, but my regular LED lights have been going strong. I haven't wanted to try again since they were so expensive.

I actually put them in my rear turn signals, since the turn signal function of the switchbacks will still work without the DRL. They are insanely bright from the rear.
