I went with the Bulb to LED list and I would figure they would be the same between the LS's even if yours is a T/A. I may be wrong but IDK.

Just the lenses you take off. And yeah you probably can use one or the other but to make things easy, best thing to do is get the two types I posted if your car takes it. The 1st one I posted clips in to the two prong connector on each side of the map lights. The 2nd uses one prong on each section of the trunk light and hooks to each side and on mine, I had to twist the prongs just enough to have the hooking part of the LED fit, then bend them over so it can't come loose.

Ok I'm new here, but been looking around a lot recently and now that I got my Trans Am I'm looking at replacing the map lights, but can't seem to find how you take the mirror apart to get to the bulb. Can any one help point me in the right direction? I see people just say pry off but any more details as to not break anything, I tried to pry off gently and it seems like they are in there good?

Thanks

If your talking about the ones in the map light, take a knife or flat head screw driver and lightly pry off the some what clear piece that covers the bulb. After that, you should be able to see and work with the bulbs.

It's a 2000 TA with the switches on the front of the mirror, I'll try a little more aggressive prying in the morning. Just hate to break anything on the car and parts being harder to find now.. Thanks for the fast reply.

F the damn DOME LIGHT! piece of crap! I can not tell you how pissed I am right now!

I bought the LEDs to finish up my interior. Why? why did i want to do it? I dunno! because all of your pictures look cool. It seems like an easy mod but of course, nothing is ever as simple as it sounds.

I DID have to bend the copper(?) prongs so that the LED would fit but my issue was that the light shined straight to the back of the car. I needed to twist it so that the light would shine down. Simple enough right? Hell no, sure enough as I had the LED on the prongs and was attempting to twist it down the left prong breaks.

I really dont know where to go from here. I took the entire Dome Light mount out. Seems like that copper piece is part of the wire or something. I don't know. If anyone has a suggestion, im up for anything at this point. Thanks

Ryan

Something so simple, i should of just let it be. dammit
