My defogger doesn't work for ****. I can turn it on, and it will stay on for about a minute and shut off. If i press it again, it will come on for about 45 seconds and shut off. If I press it AGAIN, it stays on for about 20 seconds. After that if I try to press it, it won't come on at all and my window is still fogged

How did you solder it? One of mine was off when I bought my car and I applied solder on the tab and the glass. My defrosters work fine.

Mine broke off, as well. Took it to a GM dealership and they tried an adhesive to "fix" it, but broke off 2 days later.

If your talking about the rear defroster just replace the relay in the fuse panel for the defroster with a standard 30 amp fuse. Its a very common problem easily fixed.

I would just clean both contacts and re-solder the tab to the window.

I was hoping it was a semi-common issue, I'll have to try it when the car thaws out. Thanks!

just use some soldering flux and a big screwdriver type tip as you need alot of heat.

I used it and it was worth the $28. Like yourself I used the cheao kit and it was worthless. The frost fighter worked awesome.
