Hood Experts Inside Please I have never posted in this thread and I really am not much of anappearance minded guy, so I really need soemhelp here.
Ia m swapping engines over to a SBC with a carb. The problem I have is that this engine is about 3-4" taller than the LT1. So naturally I need something will a taller cowl.
I was thinking of getting a lay-on type hood (the hood with the 12 little thumb screw on it for those that don't know) but I haven't been able to find one that I like.
I think that a straight up cowl looks pretty damn nasty, and I want to try and avoid that at all cost. I hear that somebody was making a replica SS hood, but it had a taller cowl on it.

VFN is making one but its taking forever to be released. Theres another ZL1 style hood but its 1000+ bucks so you might as well wait for the VFN if thats the way you want to go
