I used about 2 cans if i remember right and no i didnt use any promoter. I cleaned every panel with soap and water really well, then i wiped everything down with alcohol. Let it dry and went to town.

i bought actual ebony seatbelts, headliner, carpet, and rear panels. I would recommend getting ebony kick panels as thats a high traffic area

Why didn't you just spray or dye the headliner? And that is a good idea to get the kick panels. So its a good match in color for the panels compared to the painted?

Makes sense. I'm surprised that the backseats are holding up. I would think just spraying this stuff on would make it not look very good. I guess I found my project for next week! I'm gonna do the whole entire car minus the carpet and maybe headliner

if you plan on having people ride in the back on a regular basis, I say just get ebony leather. I seldom have people back there

im thinking about going with an adhesion promoter/flat black krylon/satin clear for the panels just for an extra sturdyness but i will read the backside of the can when i get to the store a figure it out. my backseat has been folded down for the past 6 months with a set of fikse's sitting on them haha

Has anyone ever used this paint on grey cloth door panels? I want to redo mine possibly without buying new panels that are darker just not a whole big fan of the light grey interior of my car and want something darker. Already planning darker (probably ebony) floor matts from lyod with a Z28 logo so now just deciding what to do with the door panels and seats.

Photos are rather old, back from just after getting the car interior has been cleaned up a little but still want to try some changes any ideas would be nice. Figured bump this thread instead of starting a whole new one.
