Intake Painting? If I buy the LS6 intake for my LS1 can I paint it the same color as my car, does it need to be an engine specific paint????
Any help is appreciated, LS1 Newbie right here!!!

Re: Intake Painting? I did the same with mine and my water pump, thermostat housing, valve covers and tensinor. They look great and with a 165 stat the motor wont get hot enough to hurt it. the paint will hold till over 230 degrees.

Re: Intake Painting? Here's my painted intake, they just used the paint code on the car and painted it and put two coats of clear on it. And for getting it painted FREE, can't beat that. Its nice to have the hook ups.
