I've sprayed my engine bay with a powerwasher several times. It didn't hurt anything, but I wouldn't recommend it. It's not necessary. If you do go that route, make sure you leave the car running.

I would recommend using a clean white cotton towel, Simple Green, soap and water. My engine bay cleans up very well even after a long Michigan winter.

Why leave the car running? So if something gets wet that shouldnt you can stop there and not risk more damage? Or am I totally wrong. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Also, should I cover anything up with a plastic baggie or something? Ive gotta was my 98Z's ls1, the silver aluminum block is brown with dirt!

Thanks!
