Default Are Monroe shocks alrigh to have for a while?

Since I've had this problem with my shocks while trying to install my Hotchkis springs, i'm going to need some new shocks to complete the whole thing. I was wondering if some Monroe shocks would be alright to run on for a while till I get enough money for some Bilstiens? If they are alright, then do I need them to be adjusted to a certain height? Thanks
