I didn't care for the LEDs so I never hooked them up.
I didn't have the CCFL halos in mine, they were LED based (the previous version). They worked fine, just could never see them during the day really.
That HID kit I am not familiar with, so I can't say how good (or bad) it may be.

Unfortunately, the options for ready-made projector housings for the 1998-2002 Camaro are sonar, and worse options. The sonar projector housings are OK, but not great; however, many people are happy with them.
If you want the best option, get a spare set of stock housings (or aftermarket housings where the projector can be easily removed) and retrofit real HID projectors into them. Sometimes you get lucky and the projector can be replaced easily. Sometimes not. There are also retro-fit HID projectors designed to be easier to install into Halogen housings.
Here is the Camaro section of the Lighting FAQ.

I haven't see it yet. I posted a longer response about retrofits in your new thread:

I absolutely have no clue. A stereo shop that is right next to my buddy's shop had a customer flake out on the headlights, smoked corners, smoked side marker lights, and taillights. Since my taillights are already smoked with night shade I just got the head lights, markers, and corners.
I did a search after I bought them to see if he was being truthful about just wanting his money back out of them plus his shipping he was almost dead on. If you search for camaro halo led ccfl headlights on google most of the first couple sites have sonar, and other nicer high end brands that use the ccfl's and some of the same brands that do the ccfl's that are just halo's with led's or just projectors with cheaper halo's.
Mine were 250 for the headlights, 30 for corners and 25 for markers. I payed 335 for all of them together which is more than I have ever payed for aftermarket headlights, but none of them look as good as these, and actually look like REAL OEM "BMW, Audi, Mercedes etc. headlights, and mine don't leak. I have sprayed my sprayer on the hose right on them and no fogging or leaking like my other 50 and 80 dollar headlights I got for other vehicles I owned.
Sorry for the long post, spend the extra dough and get the good ones. I plan on putting quality projector bulbs in mine soon, once I do the research on what is best and works best and easiest to install in a 4th gen headlight.
