Understandable. Keep in mind it's my first time using a sewing machine, and it's not a walking-foot. I believe it's like a '60s Singer (it's girlfriend's mom's).

As far as the interior goes, to each is own. It looks great in person and like **** on camera. Plus, it's not a show car, or a garage queen; it's a DD/strip car that hauls well for a cheap price.

I'll go ahead and say it: Look at the HVAC controls. No defroster button on the left-hand side. The car is completely stripped from the factory, except the Z28 option. Don't think too many of these came without a defroster. Told you it wasn't anything special.

Well, I'm pretty sure that more than 0.05% came without a defroster. Just sayin'... My friends Z28 didn't have one either.

The Defroster button on the bottom left corner of the controls is missing in this pic:

I appreciate your opinions guys. Worst comes to worst, I'll just take it off. It takes all of 2 minutes to do. It should be noted that I am planning on buying the RLG covers for everything, but the interior isn't my priority, and won't be for a while.

X2. The passenger side actually looks decent. It's mainly the driver side and the pushbutton area that stands out to me. No point in removing it now. At the very least, it's providing protection for the lid and softness for your arm.

I'll probably take another whack at it this weekend, when I have some free time. I don't really like the different gaps between the seam and "French stitching" either, but it's not as noticeable in person so I rolled with it.

Its not perfect but i still think it looks better then before. I say good work. Now you can try making e-brake boot, and shifter boot. Then work on something for door arms. Keep it up, the interior is one of the biggest let downs of the car, next to the 10 bolt of course.

he already stated the difference above if you go back and read! It was a no rear defrost button on the HVAC controls panel below the radio.

I would think if you could wrap the rest of the console in some way to match and keep all the colors the same as you have quite a few with the carpet, black console, grayish black wrapped arm rest and grey seats, it would look real nice then. Im sure it does look better in person tho.

Well I live in Alabama and our winters are like the summers in Illinois.

Thanks for the input everyone. I'll definitely try it again in a couple days and update. Afterwards, I'll try the e-brake and shift boot, and then re-cover the door panels with the same vinyl. Hell, if I get adventurous enough, I might recover the seats some day.

Is it the lack of stitching on the e-brake handle? Most I've seen including mine are leather wrapped at the factory with the stitching on top. Unless this is different for some years ('97 and back?)
